1st International Black Speculative Writers Symposium & Festival

The first International Black Speculative Writers Symposium and Festival is a 3 day live symposium and festival that takes place at Goldsmiths University London from 2-4 Feb 2024. Sessions include discussions, workshops, readings, storytelling, networking, and an intro to reading ‘spec. fic.’

Confirmed award winning writers include Leone Ross, Courttia Newland, Karen Lord & Reynaldo Anderson, co-founder of the Black Speculative Arts Movement. Plus authors in Glimpse the first Black British speculative fiction anthology and Comma Press speculative fiction anthologies. Partners are NPO literary, publishing & cultural organisations providing resources for writers to develop excellence in this genre & to encourage new readers.
