JOB: Francophone Studies, Florida State University

The Department of Modern Languages and Linguistics at Florida State University in Tallahassee, FL invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in French starting August 2019. We seek a dynamic and promising scholar who will invigorate our existing program strengths in innovative ways and who will further the mission of the Winthrop-King Institute by pursuing high-quality interdisciplinary and collaborative research in the field of Francophone studies (preferred specialization North-African/Sub-Saharan African or other area of Francophone studies not presently covered by the program faculty, with a possible secondary specialization in modern and contemporary French studies). Doctoral degree from an accredited institution or the highest degree appropriate in the field of specialization with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service. Native or near native proficiency in French and English are required.
